It gives me immense pleasure to reflect on the inspiring journey of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy. Established in 2002 under the Shifa Medicare Trust, our institution has evolved over the past two decades into one of Kerala’s leading pharmacy colleges, recognized for academic excellence, research, innovation, and societal impact.

What began with a single B.Pharm programme has steadily grown into a comprehensive institution offering D.Pharm, Pharm.D, and advanced Master of Pharmacy programmes. We take immense pride in providing specialized postgraduate education in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Pharmacy Practice, and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs. Through these programmes, we continue to prepare highly skilled professionals capable of meeting the dynamic needs of healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry.

Over the years, the institution has achieved several significant milestones. Al Shifa College of Pharmacy became the first pharmacy college in the Malabar region to secure ISO certification, reflecting our commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Our standards of excellence are further validated through approvals and accreditations from the Pharmacy Council of India, Kerala University of Health Sciences, National Board of Accreditation, and National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

A defining strength of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy is its close integration with KIMSHEALTH Al Shifa Hospital. This unique academic and clinical ecosystem provides students with invaluable exposure to real-world healthcare settings and hands-on learning experiences. As a result, our graduates have emerged as competent professionals who contribute significantly to healthcare, industry, research, academia, and regulatory sectors across India and abroad.

The college, graded A+ under QAS, securing the third rank in KIRF and being positioned in NIRF rankings for several years, reflects its professional approach and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

The international student exchange programmes with foreign universities provide our students with valuable global exposure and help them understand the evolving trends and changing scenarios in the pharmacy sector.

As we look toward the future, we recognize that pharmacy education is entering a transformative era shaped by artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, precision medicine, and advanced data analytics.
