1 19-01-2022 to 21-01-2022 Industrial familiarization program

As a part of Pharmaceutical Industrial Insight 2022, an Industrial Familiarisation Program was organised by Training & Placement Cell from 19/01/2022 to 21/01/2022 for the 8th semester B Pharm Pharmaceutics project students and 2nd semester M Pharm Pharmaceutics students. at Chethana Pharmaceuticals.

DAY 1 : Industrial Familiarization Program was started with a Pre-Lecture on the topic “Overview on Chethana Pharmaceuticals & Its Ophthalmic Products “. The session was delivered by Ms. Afila Rafeeque of Second Semester M Pharm Pharmaceutics. The session was very helpful to students as they were given a basic understanding about Chethana Pharmaceuticals, products manufactured and production facilities. 22 students attended the session. Following the session Principal Dr. T N K Surya Prakash summarized the key points Mr. Sheron Joseph, Mr. Ajith Chandran and Mrs. Afnan K.V coordinated the session.

DAY 2 : Second day of Industrial Familiarization Program started with Industrial visit to Chethana Pharmaceuticals, Perinthalmanna. 31 students of 8th Semester B Pharm & 2nd Semester M Pharm started journey from Al Shifa College of pharmacy at 09.00 am. Prof. Junise V, Vice Principal & HOD, Mr. Ajith Chandran, & Mrs Afnan K.V, Department of Pharmaceutics accompanied the students. Plant visit started with an introductory speech by Mr. Jayaraj incharge production. After that all students were divided into three groups and visited various departments. Department incharges very well explained the production process and documentation procedure. Students visited packing area, sterile filling area, water treatment plant, Quarantine area, QA & QC. Production area visit ended by 1.30 pm followed by an interactive session with various department heads. Students discussed their queries related to various process and documentation procedures. During the session students pointed out that, the visit was really helpful to them to gather more knowledge regarding the various aspects of ophthalmic production.

DAY 3 : The industrial familiarisation program was ended up with an industrial familiarisation evaluation questionnaire conducted on 21/01/2022 to 8th semester B pharm students by 2nd semester M pharm student based on the industrial visit industrial visit to Chethana Pharmaceuticals. This session helped the students to recall what they have gone through during the I.V. Shahina K of 8th semester B Pharm scored 26 marks out of 30 bagged first place.

2 22-01-2022 Lakshya talk series -1 Retail business management in pharmacy

The first session of Lakshya Talk Series, jointly organized by Training and Placement Cell, was held on 22 January 2022. The topic of the session was “Retail Business management in Pharmacy”. Mr. Mansoor K.P, Manager (Health care management and retail business division) HLL Lifecare Ltd, A Govt of India Enterprises, Govt Medical College, Kozhikode, was the resource person. The program started at 10.am in the college auditorium with the inaugural address of Dr. T.N.K. Suriyaprakash, Principal, Al Shifa college of Pharmacy; Prof. Junise V, Vice Principal delivered felicitation. 103 students of 8th Semester and 6th semester B. Pharm attended the program, which lasted for 2 hours. The session was extremely interactive. The students were greatly benefitted by the program and they could gain basic knowledge in opportunities and challenges in Retail Pharmacy Business.

3 14-03-2022 Workshop on interview skills and career guidance

Department of Pharmacy practice in association with Training and Placement Cell organized “Two Days workshop on Essential skills for Life success and Career Guidance” on 14th and 15th March 2022. The programme was conducted at Academic Hall of KIMS ALSHIFA Hospital. The Chief Guest for the programme was Dr. P Unneen, Vice Chairman, KIMS AL SHIFA Hospital. The inauguration of Manuscript e-HUB, a Global platform for editing and proof reading, a service for aspiring research scholars was also done in collaboration with English department of Arts & science and Mou with Arts college and Mariyam polyclinic. Karinkallathani was also done on the same day after the inaugural session. The first sessionon the workshop was on Interview skills by Dr. Babu PK, Principal, Al Shifa college of Arts and Sciences. The second session was conducted on the same day at 1.30 PM on the topic Career Guidance by Mr.Midhun Chandrasekharan and his team members. On second day we had the resource person Sri. Abhishad Guruvayoor for a personality development class on the topic Beyond Books-A workshop for essential skills for Life success. Around 100 students attended the programme including Pharm D interns, Pharm D 4th year and Pharm D 5th year students and 2nd semester M Pharm students.

4 08-06-2022 Training in Pharma QC

Al Shifa College of Pharmacy organized a placement training programme on pharma QC on 8th June, 2022.The training programme was inaugurated by Dr.TNK. Suriyaprakash, principal, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, followed by Mr. Junise.V, vice principal. The resource person was Dr. S.S.Prasaanth, HOD, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis. The programme was conducted as two sessions. The first session mainly focussed on giving theoretical base for the use of various instruments used in a drug testing laboratory.The second session was conducted on the same day at 1:30 pm .The session involved the demonstration of the working of various analytical instruments. The programme was mainly conducted for the students of 6th semester B Pharm to enlighten them with the importance of getting training in a drug testing laboratory. All the students found the session more informative and useful.

5 17-07-2022 A Webinar on Overseas Pharmacist Licensing Examinations by SKPF

On July 17, 2022, the SKPF organized an insightful webinar on the overseas pharmacist licensing examination, specifically tailored for final-year B. Pharm students. The event was graced by the SKPF Secretary as the key speaker, who adeptly provided a comprehensive overview of the various aspects and challenges of the licensing process. The webinar primarily focused on essential topics such as eligibility criteria, examination formats, and the necessary steps for preparing and applying for these international exams. The speaker also emphasized the importance of understanding the legal and professional requirements in different countries. A significant portion of the session was dedicated to answering students’ queries, making it highly interactive and informative. This webinar proved to be an invaluable resource for aspiring pharmacists looking to pursue their careers abroad, equipping them with crucial knowledge and guidance for their future endeavours.

6 22-11-2022 Advanced Carrer Options and Higher Studies in India and Abroad

On November 22, 2022, a significant seminar focusing on “Advanced Career Options and Higher Studies in India and Abroad” was organized in collaboration with Eazy Link Academy. The event was specifically designed for final year undergraduate and postgraduate students eager to explore their future academic and career prospects. The key speaker, Mr. Sony Akkara, an International Certified Career Coach from Eazy Link Academy, delivered an insightful presentation. He elaborated on the diverse opportunities and pathways available for students in India and abroad, emphasizing the importance of aligning their career choices with their skills and interests. Mr. Akkara provided practical advice on navigating the complexities of applying for higher studies in various countries, including details on scholarships, application procedures, and the cultural adaptation required. Additionally, he highlighted the emerging career fields and the skills needed to thrive in these areas. The seminar proved to be an eye-opener for many students, offering them a clearer perspective on the myriad of opportunities that lie ahead. It was an invaluable session that equipped the students with the necessary information and guidance to make informed decisions about their future academic and professional journeys.

7 24-11-2022 Invited talks on Pharmaceutical regulatory affairs

On November 24, 2022, an informative seminar on Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs was conducted for final year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and first year Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) students, featuring Dr. Subin T. Shankarankutty as the speaker. Dr. Shankarankutty, an expert in the field, provided a comprehensive overview of key aspects in regulatory affairs, significantly enhancing the students’ understanding of this critical area. His talk covered essential topics such as the procedures for New Drug Application (NDA) and Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) submissions, with a specific focus on the guidelines set by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) in India and the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) in Singapore. He also shed light on the various roles and responsibilities of Regulatory Affairs (RA) professionals, emphasizing their vital contribution to ensuring that pharmaceutical products meet the necessary regulatory standards. This session was particularly enlightening as it not only detailed the regulatory processes but also highlighted the career opportunities and the significant role these professionals play in the pharmaceutical industry. Overall, the seminar offered the students valuable insights into the dynamic field of pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, equipping them with knowledge crucial for their future careers.

8 21-06-2023 Pharma Quest

On June 21, 2023, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy hosted a successful placement drive, welcoming esteemed companies like Alembic pharmaceuticals Gujarat, Eysys Pharmaceuticals from Chennai, and MES Medical College and Hospitals from Malappuram. A total of 80 undergraduate and postgraduate students eagerly participated in the event. The placement drive adhered to a well-organized selection procedure. Initially, each company engaged in pre-placement talks, presenting themselves and outlining the job roles they had to offer. Subsequently, candidates underwent a series of assessments comprising a written test, group discussions, and personal interviews. These steps were meticulously designed to assess the technical knowledge of the aspiring candidates. The outcomes were promising as students received job offers in diverse domains such as software development, marketing, finance, human resources, and operations. The structured selection process not only provided students with exposure to potential employers but also ensured that their technical capabilities were thoroughly evaluated, enhancing their chances of securing positions in their desired fields. The participation of reputable companies and the successful placement of students underscored the effectiveness of the event in connecting aspiring professionals with rewarding career opportunities.

9 06-09-2023 to 16-09-2023 Industrial training, Vaidyaratnam Oushadasala, Thrissur

From September 6th to September 16th, 2023, a transformative industrial training program unfolded at Vaidyaratnam Oushadasala in Thrissur. The participants, hailing from AIMST University Malaysia, were immersed in an enriching experience led by the esteemed Chief Scientist of the institute. The training sessions were marked by profound insights into cutting-edge pharmaceutical topics. The Chief Scientist expounded on the scope of new drug delivery systems, emphasizing the pivotal role of pharmacy professionals in advancing the principles of green pharmacy. Engaging lectures also covered the fascinating realm of reverse pharmacology and elucidated the diverse types of formulations in Ayurveda.

Beyond the contemporary pharmaceutical landscape, the participants were treated to a comprehensive journey through the history of Ayurveda. The narrative unfolded from mythological and Vedic periods to Sahitha, Sangraha, and the medieval era. This contextual understanding was complemented by captivating displays illustrating the rich tradition of Ayurveda in Kerala.

The industrial training at Vaidyaratnam Oushadasala proved to be an immersive and holistic experience, equipping the participants with not only practical insights into modern pharmaceutical practices but also a deep appreciation for the historical roots of Ayurveda. The program successfully bridged theory and tradition, fostering a well-rounded understanding of pharmaceutical sciences in a global context.

10 15-09-2023 Overseas opportunities for pharmacist and career guidance

On the 15th of September 2023, an enlightening webinar was conducted, featuring Dr. Akram Ahmad, Founder and CEO of Academically, Sydney, Australia, as the esteemed resource person. The webinar focused on illuminating pathways for pharmacists seeking opportunities abroad, particularly in Australia and New Zealand.

Dr. Ahmad delved into three key areas—industrial pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, and community pharmacy—providing comprehensive insights into the opportunities available in these sectors. His expertise extended to guidance on preparing for the KAPS (Kangaroo Australia Pharmacy Exam) entrance exam. Dr. Ahmad elucidated on preferred subjects, mark divisions, and requisite experience, offering invaluable tips to aspiring pharmacists looking to excel in their endeavours Down Under.

The webinar served as a beacon for pharmacists aspiring to pursue their careers internationally. Dr. Ahmad’s extensive knowledge and experience in the field were complemented by personal anecdotes, providing attendees with a firsthand glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of practicing pharmacy in Australia. Participants left with a clearer understanding of the overseas landscape and armed with essential information to navigate their career paths successfully.

This webinar not only broadened horizons but also empowered pharmacists to take confident steps toward realizing their dreams on the global stage.

11 18-09-2023 Industrial visit to drug testing laboratory

On September 18, 2023, our educational institution organized a highly informative industrial visit to the Drug Testing Laboratory in Thrissur. The primary objective of this laboratory is to conduct drug testing, with an impressive annual load of approximately 12,000 samples. This visit aimed to familiarize students with the crucial role this facility plays in ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals.

During the visit, the laboratory staff provided insightful demonstrations on a variety of advanced instruments used in drug testing. Notable among these were the UV-visible spectrophotometry, polarimeter, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), refractometer, FTIR spectrometer, and gas chromatography. These instruments play a vital role in analysing and verifying the composition of drugs, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards.

The UV-visible spectrophotometry aids in determining the absorbance and concentration of substances, while the polarimeter measures the optical rotation of pharmaceutical compounds. The HPLC system separates and identifies various components in a sample, ensuring precision in drug formulation. Additionally, the refractometer, FTIR spectrometer, and gas chromatography contribute to the comprehensive analysis of drug samples.

This industrial visit not only broadened our understanding of drug testing processes but also highlighted the laboratory’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the pharmaceutical industry.

12 19-09-2023 Industrial Visit to Chethana Pharmaceuticals

On the 19th of September 2023, seven students from AIMST University, Malaysia, along with Mrs. Aswathy, an Associate Professor, visited Chethana Pharmaceuticals. This company specializes in making special medicines that need to be super clean, especially ophthalmic medicines, using a method called aseptic processing.

Our visit started with learning about how Chethana Pharmaceuticals keeps everything super clean while making medicines. They follow strict rules to make sure the medicines are safe. We saw how they use the latest technology and machines to make sure everything is just right. The best part was seeing how they make eye medicines. They showed us the special rooms and machines used to keep the environment super clean. Chethana Pharmaceuticals cares a lot about making sure their medicines are safe for people’s eyes.

13 20-09-23 Visit to Labinduss Pharmaceuticals LTD. Kanjikode

On the 20th of September 2023, a group of seven students from AIMST University, Malaysia, embarked on an insightful industrial visit to Labinduss Pharmaceutical Ltd. in Kanjikode, Kerala. Accompanied by Mr. Shafin, an Associate Professor, the visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. Labinduss Pharmaceutical Ltd. specializes in the production of topical and liquid preparations. The sprawling facility showcased state-of-the-art technology and adherence to stringent quality standards. Our tour commenced with an overview of the manufacturing unit, where students gained insights into the formulation, blending, and compounding processes. The company’s commitment to precision and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) was evident in every aspect of their operations. The Research and Development wing proved to be a highlight, where students observed the innovative strides taken by Labinduss in developing new formulations and enhancing existing products. The interaction with the research team provided valuable insights into the dynamic nature of pharmaceutical development.

Furthermore, the Quality Control and Assurance department emphasized Labinduss’ commitment to producing pharmaceuticals of the highest standard. The rigorous testing procedures and compliance with international regulatory standards left a lasting impression on the visiting students.

14 24-01-2024 Beyond boundaries- An upskilling workshop

The “Beyond Boundaries-An Upskilling Workshop” on Entrepreneurship skill, attitude, and behaviour development. featuring Usha R Poornima, the esteemed founder of 3E, was a transformative experience for 4th-year Pharm D and M. Pharm students from various branches. Commencing at 10 am, the workshop delved into personal and professional growth, engaging students in discussions on personality, behaviour, and attitude development. The session also provided valuable insights into interview presentation skills. Faculty had given a detailed talk on the “Do’s and Don’t do’s in an interview. The faculty ensured active student participation through various activities, fostering an interactive learning environment. The session was very much delighted with the feedback from the students. Most of the students expressed their sincere gratitude for organizing such a wonderful workshop which was a milestone in their future journey. Notable personalities such as Principal Dr. Dilip C. Vice Principal Prof. Junise V. Udyogah Head Mr. Ajith Chandran, Pharmacy Practice HOD Dr. Linu Mohan P, and IIC heads Dr. Sanal Dev & Mrs. Nikhila graced the event. Efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Raheena K A, the workshop seamlessly executed its objectives. leaving an indelible mark on the attendees’ entrepreneurial journey.

15 19-02-2024 Alembic Pharmaceuticals at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy

Al Shifa College of Pharmacy organized an online campus drive in collaboration with Alembic Pharmaceuticals for 8th-semester B. Pharm students, aiming to provide placement opportunities as Medical Representatives. Twelve students participated in this event. The day commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Ajith Chandran, Training and Placement Cell Coordinator, and Dr. Smitha Rani, a member of the placement team. Following this, Mr. Parth Saha, HR at Alembic Pharmaceuticals, delivered an insightful presentation, enlightening students about the company’s culture and the role of a Medical Representative. Individual interviews took place from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, during which Alembic Pharmaceuticals’ representatives meticulously evaluated each candidate’s skills and suitability for the Medical Representative role. The representatives from Alembic Pharmaceuticals expressed satisfaction with the candidates’ performance. Among the students, Aswin K. Mohammed Murshid P, Mohammed Jasim, and Abu Rajah KP were selected in the first round. Special thanks go to Mr. Shafin and Mr. Sujith Unnikrishnan for their invaluable support in coordinating the event seamlessly. Additionally, gratitude is extended to Mr. Arif for his technical support, which ensured the smooth conduct of the online campus drive.

Dr. Dilip C., the principal, gave the inauguration speech at 9.30 am. In summary, he asserted that a pharmacy diploma may lead to a number of career options in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. The pharmacy profession is broad and provides chances for professional advancement as well as specialization in a range of pharmaceutical and healthcare domains. The changing picture of pharmaceutical dispensing, according to speaker Muhammad Niyas P. displays a dedication to patient-centered care, technological innovation, and collaboration across healthcare disciplines. Pharmacists and pharmacy professionals are essential in embracing new trends and seizing chances to improve drug safety, adherence, and overall quality of treatment as the healthcare sector continues to change. Dr. Smitha Rani, D. Pharm in-charge, presented Mr. Muhammad Niyas P with a memento as a gesture of recognition for the recipient’s contribution. 17 01-03-2024 Campus Placement Drive: Shafi Haji Medicals at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy

Al Shifa College of Pharmacy organized an offline campus drive in collaboration with Shafi Haji Medicals for 2nd year D. Pharm students, aiming to provide placement opportunities as dispensing and marketing executives. Twenty-one students participated in this event. The day commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Ajith Chandran, Training and Placement Cell Coordinator, and Dr. Sinitha Rani, a member of the placement team. Following this, Mr. Muhammad Niyas P. managing partner of Shafi Haji Medicals, delivered an insightful presentation, enlightening students about the company’s goals and future endeavors. Individual interviews took place from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Mr. Muhammad Niyas P expressed his satisfaction with the candidates’ performance. Among the students, twelve were shortlisted for their upcoming vacancies.

As a part of the Lakshya Pharma Talk Series 2024, the second session was organized at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy on March 2. 2024. An insightful online seminar titled “Charting Your Path: The Road to NIPER” was conducted, aiming to provide valuable guidance to students aspiring for competitive exams like GPAT and NIPER. The session commenced at 10:00 AM with a welcome speech by Mr. Ajith Chandran, the T&P Coordinator, and was inaugurated by Dr. Dilip C, the Principal of the college. The esteemed speaker. Muhammad Nizam V P, a second-semester student of M.S Regulatory Affairs at NIPER Hyderabad and an alumnus of Al Shila College of Pharmacy, shared invaluable insights into preparation strategies for cracking these competitive exams.

During the seminar, Nizam discussed the prestigious reputation of NIPER, highlighting its advanced facilities and experienced faculty members. The seminar emphasized the significance of personality development in enhancing employability and success in the pharmaceutical industry, stressing the importance of soli skills and professional demeanor.

The program, conducted on an online platform, facilitated widespread participation from students. Following the speaker’s presentation, an engaging Q&A session was held, where students actively participated, seeking clarification on various topics related to exam preparation and career prospects. Dr. Smitha Rani, the Class In-charge of the 8th semester. concluded the event with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the technical support provided by Arif, Niyas, and Unni, as well as the arrangements made by Shafin and Sujith. Ms. Sethu collected feedback from students through a Google Form, aiming to incorporate suggestions for improvement in future seminars.

The webinar titled “Beyond the Counter: Exploring Diverse Career Avenues for Pharmacy Graduates” was held on March 25, 2024, at 1:30 PM via Google Meet. The event was hosted simultaneously in the Al Shifa College of Pharmacy Auditorium and KIMS Al Shifa Hospital. Dr. Dilip C, the Principal, inaugurated the session, setting the tone for an insightful discussion on career prospects for pharmacy graduates. Dr. Fabin, a clinical pharmacologist from Americares India Foundation and an alumnus of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, served as the keynote speaker. Dr. Fabin shared valuable insights on career guidance and job opportunities for final year pharmacy students. He emphasized the importance of leveraging social media platforms for professional networking and highlighted various job areas and emerging opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. Special gratitude was extended to Dr. Linu Mohan, Dr. Smitha Rani, Mr. Sujith Unnikrishnan, Mr. Shafin P, Ms. Sethu, and Mr. Binai K Shankar, for their dedicated efforts in arranging the facilities for the webinar.Mr.Arif provided technical support for the program. 20 29-04-2024 Campus placement drive report – (Life healthcare group)

The campus placement drive of Life Healthcare Group, held on April 29, 2024, commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Ajith Chandran, the Training & Placement Cell Coordinator. Dr. Dilip C, the Principal, then officially inaugurated the event, setting the tone for an inspiring day ahead. Following the inauguration, Mr. Thajudheen PE, HR Manager of Suhail Manpower Consultants, delivered a motivating speech, further energizing the atmosphere. Dr. Arun Rasheed, Vice Principal Academics, and Dr. Smitha Rani, member of the Training & Placement Cell, graced the occasion with their presence. The participants, comprising our students and esteemed alumni, highlighted the strong connection and continued support from our institution. Face-to-face interview sessions kicked off at 10:30 am across exam hall – Il and seminar hall, providing candidates with valuable opportunities to showcase their skills. The event saw a commendable turnout with 152 registered candidates via Google Form, and 126 of them actively participated. Additionally, candidates hail from other colleges, which include Devaki Amma Memorial College of Pharmacy, Jamia Salafiya Pharmacy College, JDT Islam College of Pharmacy, Prime College of Pharmacy, KMCT National College of Pharmacy, and DM WIMS College of Pharmacy. Notably, six candidates travelled from colleges of other states; This diverse representation not only enriches the talent pool but also fosters a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences, enhancing the overall impact of the placement drive. The event concluded at 4:30 pm with closing remarks from Dr. Smitha Rani, acknowledging the efforts and support of Administrator Navas Babu, Technical staffs; Mr. Unnikrishnan, Mr. Arif and Mr. Jishnu, Teaching staffs; Dr. Linu Mohan P, Mrs. Swathi H, Mr. Sujith Unnikrishnan, Mr. Shafin P and Mrs. Sethu R.

Training and Placement Cell-UDYOGAH in association with SQAC & IQAC organized a career guidance program on 23rd May 2024 at 10 AM in the Multipurpose Auditorium at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy. The session was led by Dr. Hussain Melattur. a JCI National Trainer and International Corporate Trainer. Students from the 7th and 8th semester B Pharm. as well as the 3rd and 4th year Pharm D, attended the training, totalling 121 students. The program aimed to enhance students’ personality development, interview skills, leadership skills, and time management. Group activities were also conducted to improve their thinking and communication skills. Prof. Dilip C, Principal of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, inaugurated the session with a welcome address, emphasizing the importance of such training. Mr. Nahas Abdul Razaq from the Placement Cell and JC Dr. Reem, a dentist, felicitated the session, underscoring the value of personality and soft skills development. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Ajith Chandran, Placement cell Officer, who acknowledged the contributions of everyone involved. Mr. Shafin and Mrs. Swathi provided essential support, while Mrs. Raheena dedicatedly coordinated the event.

Insight from industry: reflection on one month training

The two-day presentation program titled “Insight from Industry: Reflection on One Month Training” was held on the 20th and 21st of May 2024 in the conference room from 10 AM to 4 PM. The event featured 96 Sixth semester B Pharm students sharing their industrial training experiences. Held in the presence of Dr. Dilip C, Principal, Udyogah members, and the seventh semester class in charges, The program provided a platform for students to present their insights and practical knowledge gained from their one-month training. Each day included both morning and afternoon sessions, with students delivering well-prepared presentations on various industry-related topics, followed by interactive Q&A sessions. The event concluded with feedback from faculty and industry experts, encouraging students to continue their professional growth and learning.

23 14-06-2024 Campus Placement drive (Aster retail pharmacy UAE)

On June 14, 2024, a campus placement interview was organized for Aster Retail UAE. The recruitment process commenced with an online assessment exam, in which 17 students participated. Following this, 7 candidates were shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process. The interviews were conducted on an online platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient evaluation. This placement drive highlighted the institution’s commitment to providing global career opportunities for its graduates and allowed students to engage with a leading retail company in the UAE, enhancing their prospects in the international job market. On July 3rd, a campus placement drive concluded with the final round of online interviews conducted by Aster Retail Pharmacy UAE. Seven candidates participated in this stage, which marked the culmination of the selection process. Following thorough assessments of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, four candidates were successfully selected to join the organization. The final selection was communicated via email on July 8th, underscoring Aster Retail Pharmacy’s commitment to recruiting top talent through a rigorous and inclusive hiring process.

24 09-07-2024 Global career opportunities for pharmacy graduates

A seminar on “Global Career Opportunities for Pharmacy Graduates” was held on 9th July 2024, at Seminar Hall. The event featured Mr. Sony Akkara, an international certified career coach and founder of Easylink Academy. Dr. Linu Mohan, HOD of Pharmacy Practice and a member of Udyogah, delivered the welcome speech, followed by the inauguration by Dr. Arun Rasheed, Vice Principal of Academics. Mr. Sony Akkara conducted two insightful sessions: the first from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM for Pharm D interns and the second from 1:45 PM to 4:00 PM for 7th-semester B Pharm students. The seminar highlighted global career prospects and strategies for pharmacy graduates. Mr. Ajith Chandran, Coordinator of the Training and Placement Cell, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the team members, including Sujith Unnikrishnan, Shafin P, Sethu R, and Smitha Rani, for their support. He also acknowledged the administrative support from Mr. Navas Babu and technical assistance from Mr. Niyas and Mr. Jishnu, with additional coordination by 7th- semester in-charges Mrs. Raheena and Mrs Danisha.
