Dr.C Dilip is an experienced Pharmacy lecturer, coupled with research skill. He is having 21 years of experience in Pharmacy teaching and 2 years of experience in Pharma Marketing. He started his career as a lecturer in Alshifa College of Pharmacy and continue serving the college for the past 20 years. Dilip is the recipient of prestigious Dr B M Mittal Memorial award( 2023) awarded by Association of Pharmaceutical teachers of India(APTI) for his outstanding work in the field of Pharmaceutical education for his paper titled- Vaccine safety and surveillance for Adverse event following immunisation( AEFI) for covid 19 vaccine in a tertiary care referral Hospital . He played a Key role in establishing the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Alshifa College of Pharmacy, Kerala, including an administering hand towards achieving International registration of Alshifa Drug Information Centre under SHPA, (Society of Hospital Pharmacists) Australia. Dr. C.Dilip is the recipient of‘ The Best Teacher 2019’ award by Kerala University of Health Sciences for his outstanding contribution towards academic excellence, Research works, Journal society article publications, student readiness for graduation, social work activities etc.

Dilip is also honored with Special Appreciation Award from Shifa Institute of Medical Sciences ( SIMS) in the year 2018, in recognition of the exemplary contribution towards the Pharmacy Profession. Dilip is the coordinator for Adverse drug reaction monitoring centre of Alshifa college of pharmacy which comes under the purview of NCC-PvPI (Ministry of Health and Family welfare, New Delhi) He has developed First, Second and Third edition of Hospital Formulary and First edition of Paediatric Formulary and was instrumental in developing numerous resource materials/teaching aids (including a resource material on Pharmacovigilance and Quick review on clinical research etc.) Dilip is the Founder and Editor In chief of Shifaclinpharm, Pharmacy practice newsletter and two scientific journals titled- -Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences and Asian Journal of Biological and Life Sciences.

He has Published 125 research publications in various peer reviewed Journals during his career span of 19 years. With an aim to advance the knowledge in the field of pharmacy practice and Pharm D orientation, Dilip attended Four weeks of Advanced Pharmacy practice training at the prestigious USC School of Pharmacy at the University Of Southern California, (Zonal Avenue, Los angels, California) under International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), in the year 2016 . He was one of the two privileged Indians to be selected/invited to participate in the World Health organization ( WHO) technical briefing seminar on “Essential Medicine and Health Products policies 2016” , which was held at WHO headquarters, Geneva on October 17- 21, 2016.

He had undergone training organized by British Medical Association at Tan- Tock Seng hospital, & National health care group of pharmacy Singapore in the year 2016. Dr Dilip Initiated collaboration with AIMST University, Malaysia, ALBANY COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, USA, National university of Oman. Quest International University, Malaysia, Sherman Speciality Pharmacy, Canada to facilitate the student exchange as well as for further research collaborations to enrich the standards of student education, there by strengthening the core values of Alshifa college of Pharmacy. Many students and faculty had a wonderful training experience at AIMST, Malaysia in the year 2017, and 2018 and in August 2022, 2023 and 2024 at Quest University, Malaysia. Pharmacy students from AIMST University visited Alshifa campus under “Global Industrial, research and experiential training programme” in the year 2022 , 2023 , 2024 and 2025 under the leadership of Dr Dilip to get glimpses about pharmacy education in India.

He served as PG Board member of Kerala university of Health Sciences during the tenure 2015-2018 and review committee member for National formulary of India under Ministry of health and family welfare for the year 2025. He has organized various continuing education programs in the hospital setting & played a vital role in bringing social awareness, community empowerment and student progress related activities to advance the growth of the Department of Pharmacy Practice of Alshifa college of Pharmacy.
