NSS 7-Day Special Camp – PRAYAAN 2026

The NSS Unit of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy successfully organized its 7-day Special Camp, “PRAYAAN 2026,” from 23–30 March 2026 at Melattur Pain & Palliative Care Centre, Melattur Panchayath Ward 7, and Kizhattur Panchayath Ward 4. The camp brought together 50 NSS volunteers with the objective of fostering community service, leadership, and public health awareness.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Jayanarayanan , Medical Officer, Family Health Centre, Kizhattur, in the presence of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Dilip C. , faculty members, and invited dignitaries.

Throughout the seven days, volunteers actively participated in a wide range of community-oriented initiatives, including tuberculosis awareness campaigns, household health surveys, well chlorination, palliative care visits, a Prescription Adhalath focusing on rational drug use, personality development sessions, and outreach activities at Rahma Special School. Volunteers also engaged in Palliative Day celebrations and conducted comprehensive community health assessments.

The camp concluded with a valedictory function and certificate distribution, recognizing the dedicated efforts of all volunteers. PRAYAAN 2026 provided students with valuable exposure to community healthcare, strengthened their leadership and teamwork skills, and reinforced the spirit of social responsibility while making a meaningful impact on the local community.
