ABOUT IEDC

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna, Kerala, is dedicated to cultivating a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students. The IEDC serves as a dynamic platform for aspiring student innovators to transform their ideas into viable ventures.

Throughout the year, the IEDC organizes a variety of events and initiatives aimed at enhancing students' entrepreneurial skills and awareness. These include membership campaigns, workshops on prototype and process design, slogan writing competitions on social themes, and awareness drives such as voter enrollment initiatives . Such activities are designed to promote problem- solving, teamwork, and innovation among participants.

In 2025, Wafa Panthar & Mohammed Shamil was appointed as the Student Leads of the IEDC, reflecting the institution's commitment to student leadership in fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem . Under this leadership, the IEDC continues to empower students to engage with industry experts, develop essential skills, and pursue startup opportunities.

The IEDC of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy (ACP) successfully conducted a Film Festival in the first week of July. The event provided a creative platform for students to showcase cinematic talent, encourage innovation, teamwork, and storytelling skills, and promote cultural and artistic expression within the campus.
