Dr. Shebina P. Rasheed serves as the Head of the Department and Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, bringing with her 17.5 years of rich academic experience. She is deeply engaged in teaching, research, and academic administration, with recognized expertise in pharmaceutical analysis, quality assurance, and allied disciplines. She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu, in the year 2021.

In addition to her core qualifications, Dr. Shebina has strengthened her professional competencies through several add-on certifications and FDP including a Young Adults Counselling Certificate, Research Methodology from Kerala University of Health Sciences, a Beginner Course in Patent Drafting from NPTEL, and Intellectual Property Rights training completed in 2025.

Her research contributions are substantial, with over 39 original research and review publications in reputed national and international journals in the fields of pharmaceutical analysis and pharmaceutical chemistry. Her scholarly work reflects a citation count of over 120, with an h-index of 7 and an i10-index of 4. She holds professional memberships in IPGA and APTI.

Dr. Shebina has actively presented research papers at various national and international conferences and has been honored with Best Paper Presentation awards. She also serves as a Sub-Editor for the Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences published by

Al Shifa College of Pharmacy. Her academic outreach includes invited lectures on sustainability and women empowerment, submission of three patent applications, and recognition as a reviewer for reputed publishers such as Springer Nature, Elsevier, and SAGE.

She has guided 15 undergraduate (B.Pharm) and 15 postgraduate (M.Pharm) projects and is currently supervising four M.Pharm and two B.Pharm ongoing projects, each involving four students.

Dr. Shebina has actively contributed to institutional accreditation processes at multiple levels and is an approved research guide of Kerala University of Health Sciences for Ph.D. and UG students. Additionally, she serves as a question paper setter for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, Mahatma Gandhi University, and as an examiner for various institutions

AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS:She was awarded with the best paper presentation prize for the paper presented in Amrita vishwa vidyalayam, Kochi and Mar Ivanios College Thiruvananthapuram.

PUBLICATIONS :Shebina has published more than 30 original research and review articles of pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmaceutical Chemistry and has h index 6 and 79 citations.

FUNDED PROJECTS :She has guided 16 UG projects for B Pharm and 5 projects for M Pharm students and has applied for one patent.
