The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy was established in 2018 under the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell initiative to systematically nurture innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among students and faculty. Since its inception, IIC has played a pivotal role in fostering a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, aligning with the national vision of promoting innovation-driven education.

IIC at Al Shifa actively organizes a wide range of activities, including idea-generation workshops, innovation competitions, expert talks, startup bootcamps, and exposure visits to incubators. These programs are designed to engage students from all levels and disciplines in real-world problem-solving and to develop solutions with societal and commercial impact.

A major milestone in the council's journey was achieved during the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2023, where the team “MISSION_IMPOSSIBLE” from the college emerged as joint winners in the hardware edition under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, receiving national-level recognition and a prize of ₹50,000. Continuing this legacy, teams from Al Shifa were also selected as finalists in SIH 2024, reflecting the institution’s consistent excellence in innovation and technology-driven problem-solving.
