This Programme was initiated by Kerala University of Health Science (KUHS) for all the students enrolled in colleges affiliated to KUHS. This system aims to support and guide the undergraduate and postgraduate students to solve their various academic and personal problems.
Aims and Objectives:
- To emphasize on the holistic development of students
- To address the academic and scholastic issues of students
- To provide interventions for physical, mental and intellectual issues of students
- To overcome academic learning difficulties of the students
- Encouraging curricular and extracurricular activities
Two faculty members who have undergone training in KUHS are available on the campus, appointed as Student Support and Guidance Program nodal officers. The nodal officers, through mentors, detect early and preliminary intervention of issues faced by graduates in the college. The nodal officers discuss the issues with each student individually, suggest solutions, and provide input to help improve their academic performance. Students are referred to a counsellor for further assistance if needed.
