Objective: To create awareness among students about the ill effects of ragging and its consequences.

Program Details

• The NSS unit of AlShifa College of Pharmacy organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness program to educate students about the severity of ragging and its legal implications.
• Principal Prof. (Dr) Dilip C inaugurated the program, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a ragging-free environment in the college.
• Adv. MTA Salam delivered a comprehensive lecture, covering topics such as :
  • Definition and forms of ragging
  • Physical and psychological effects of ragging
  • Legal consequences of ragging (UGC Regulations, Supreme Court directives, etc.)
  • Importance of mutual respect and harmony among students

The session was interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and sharing their concerns.

NSS Programme Officer Mr. Padmaraj C P delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the resource person and participants.

Outcome

• Students gained a deeper understanding of the negative impacts of ragging and the importance of preventing it.
• The program encouraged students to report any instances of ragging, ensuring a safe and supportive college environment.
• The college reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a ragging-free campus, aligning with UGC regulations and Supreme Court directives.

Conclusion
