The Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy has introduced two new analytical Instruments. A demonstration of the new instruments, Gas Chromatography and Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, both made by Shimadzu, was led by Dr. Prasanth SS, HoD, Pharmaceutical Analysis and technical engineer Sri.Chidambaram from Toshvin Analyticals. Students in the PG programme and faculty from several departments also attended the session. The working principle was presented along with sample injection and standard operating procedure.
