Al Shifa College of Pharmacy started with a humble beginning in 2002 in the village Kizhattur, Malappuram District, Perinthalmanna, Kerala. It was started with B.Pharm course and later expanded to Pharm.D, Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate), M.Pharm (4 branches), and D.Pharm. Credit goes to the management of Shifa Medicare Trust, and to the Managing Trustee, Dr. P. Unneen, a visionary entrepreneur, who started the college in a serene atmosphere of 55 acre campus with lush green around, away from hustle and bustle of activity, totally focused on education.

Accreditation: Growth is the mantra in any field and we have taken it seriously. Our college is the first college in Malabar region of Kerala to get ISO 9001 2008 certification and the first college in Kerala to have its B.Pharm course being accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. It is a proud moment for us that we are the 'youngest' college to get accreditation status in Kerala.

Ranking: Since 2017 till 2021 we are being ranked FIRST in Kerala under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) released by Ministry of Human Resource Department (MHRD) and ranked between 51 and 75 at National level. This speaks about the infrastructure of the college, faculty strength, research activities, co-curricular and extracurricular activities etc.

Grants: Faculties of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy have received grants to the tune of 80 lakhs since inception of the college.

Research : More than 300 research papers have been published so far, 15 book chapters, 5  books by the faculties of this college. An exclusive research lab has also been established in our college for PG students.

Largest Campus: Another feather in the cap is space. This college is the largest college in South India and among top three colleges in India. It has more than 20 laboratories, much more than as prescribed by statutory body, language lab, 2 seminar halls, 1000 seat auditorium cum indoor stadium, research labs, 250 seat auditorium, exclusive R & D lab etc.

Faculty: Management encourages the faculties to go for PhD and gives assistance for their research project and also has highest number of PhD's much more than as desired by the statutory bodies. Faculties also encouraged for attending seminars, presenting research papers, and all the awards are recognized by the management.

Fee waiver scheme: Top ranked student gets 50% scholarship in tuition fee in the subsequent year and the final year student gets same concession if he / she joins post graduate in our college.

Placement: Our training and placement cell conducts campus interview and nearly 50% of the students are placed in reputed organizations every year.

MoU: We signed MOU with AIMST University, Malaysia, we have tie-up with one of the leading multispecialty hospital in Kerala, KIMS Al Shifa Hospital (P) Ltd., for training our Pharm.D, M.Pharm, and B.Pharm students. We have MoU with M/s. Chethana Pharmaceuticals (P) Ltd., for exchange of students, student's project, industrial visit of students, R & D etc. Also we have tie-up with Saveetha University, Chennai for exchange of students and for collaborative research. 

We at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy are committed to provide excellent education, practical training and facilities in the Pharmacy field. We emphasize in imparting excellent education to our students. We provide them ample opportunities for giving their expressions to their inner literary creative and artistic talents as well as sportsman ship. We want our students to be well educated and well trained to become responsible citizens. We have an excellent interaction with our alumni, who are also uplifting the professional activities of our institute.
