World Heart Day!
PharmD Students of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy organized a World Heart Day celebration in association with Primary Health Centre, Kizhattur on September 29, 2023. The program included an exhibition, counseling session for patients and a camp to check blood pressure and body mass index. The program was inaugurated by the Prof (Dr.) T N K Suriyaprakash, Principal, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy and Dr. Shameera TP, Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Kizhattur. The inauguration was attended by Dr. Dilip C, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy; Dr. Shayitha P, Medical Officer; Mrs. Shibi Joseph, Health Inspector, PHC Kizhattur; Dr. Linu Mohan P, Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy and Mr Salim V, Junior Health Inspector, PHC Kizhattur. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Pallavi P, Assistant Professor, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy. A vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr Binai K Sankar, Associate Professor, Al Shifa College of Pharmacy. The students presented a flash mob to spread the message of World Heart Day following the inauguration. Health Screening, Exhibition and counseling followed the Inauguration.
