Mrs. Bency Baby T is an Associate Professor of Pharmacognosy at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy in Perinthalmanna, Kerala, India. With 10 years of experience in academia and research, she holds a B.Pharm degree from Dr M.G.R Medical University, Chennai, and a Master’s degree in Pharmacognosy from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, specializing in plant tissue culture. She has submitted her Ph.D. thesis at the Department of Pharmacy, Annamalai University, Chidambaram. Mrs. Bency Baby T teaches undergraduate courses in Pharmacognosy, Herbal Drug Technology, and Quality Control and Standardization of Herbals. She has supervised 5 B.Pharm projects and actively contributes to research. She has been selected as a member of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) for the development of monographs for medicinal plants. Additionally, she actively participates in national conferences, seminars, and symposiums. Mrs. Bency Baby T is affiliated with the Society for Ethnopharmacology (SFE) in India and the Association of Pharmacy Teachers in India (APTI). Her research focuses on natural product-inspired drug discovery, as well as the standardization and quality control of Indian medicinal plants.
