Geoffrey Gnana Jeba. J, is currently a Professor & Head in the Department of Pharmaceutics, at Al Shifa College of Pharmacy. He has more than 18 years of experience in various levels of jobs in teaching and as a scientist in the pharmaceutical industry in the formulation research and development of various formulations. He has one granted patent for his credit and has filed five patents in the US, PCT, and Indian patent offices. He was awarded his post-graduation in 2007 and a Ph. D (Pharmaceutics) in 2014 from The Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai.

He is working in the area of topical formulation research for skin & eye delivery. His skills and expertise are in Nanomedicine and Complex formulation development. He was awarded a travel grant from DBT for his presentation at Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore.

He is guiding M. Pharm. students for projects. Besides this, he also offers consultancy to colleges and pharmaceutical companies for pharmaceutical product development and troubleshooting specific problems. He has been an invited speaker, coordinator of seminar and workshops.

AREA OF INTEREST: Topical and ocular drug delivery of nanomedicine, complex and sterile formulation development.
